Christmas Parades

Last Wed was the Robersonville Christmas parade. It was FREEZING but we toughed it out. James loves parades and is officially a candy snatcher!

Miller loved watching the parade also.. She looked so cute al bundled up.

Love this picture of James!

The Bethel parade was on Saturday. It wasn't as cold so it was much more enjoyable. The parade had so many animals, cars, and firetrucks. James loved it!

Gray joined us.. so happy he could come!

Our Elf Aiden

Meet Aiden our "Elf". James is loving having Aiden around and has been on his best behavior since he came to live with us. Hopefully Aiden will tell Santa all of the good things James has been doing and he will bring James all of the toys on his list!

Miller was really excited too!

Catching Up!

Miller is now 7 months old! She has finally learned to take long naps (2 a day 2-3hrs each) and is sleeping from 7:-7:30 - 7 in the morning. She is eating stage 2 baby foods and isn't picky at all. She has started to scoot backwards. She loves her big brother and he makes her laugh all the time! Mill'er's helmet has been a huge success. We had our 1 month follow up appointment yesterday and her measurments were great. She will only be in the helmet for 4 more weeks. I was preparing myself for 4 months, but thankfully her head has rounded itself out in 8 short weeks. This is the only picture I got of her on Thanksgiving.
FLORIDA TRIP
We took a 12 hour roadtrip to Tallahassee, FL the week before Thanksgiving to see my grandmother "B". It was the first time she got to meet Miller. Both kids did great in the car and now I know we can definitely do it again. We had a great time and it was so good to get away!

Miller and Her Helmet

Miller has had her helmet now for 2 weeks. She has done amazing with it. I think I was preparing for the worst but she honestly acts like it isn't even there. We are now wearing it for 23 hours a day. Her helmet makes her cheeks look so chunky! I will keep updating her progress. Hopefully it will continue to be smooth sailing!

6 Months Old!

Its so hard to believe Miller is already 6 months old. The second child goes by so so much faster than the first. At her 6 month checkup she weighed 16.3 lbs (25th-50th percentile) and was 25.3 inches tall (50th percentile). She is sitting up all by herself and pushing up on both arms and spinning in circles. She is eating solids at dinner time and loves all vegetables. I've also tried yougart and she ate the whole container. She's not too fond of fruits but I'm working on it. Miller also has had a flat spot on the right side of her head since birth and it hasn't corrected itself even with lots and lots of tummy time. It is called Plagiocephaly and we have been referred to an orthotist who will fit her for a cranial band/ helmet. Her case is not severe at all so hopefully she will only have to wear it 4-6 weeks. Our appointment is next Monday at 10:00. Wish us luck with the insurance company! Many insurance companies consider it cosmetic and I've heard that its a battle getting them to pay for it.

KooKoo and Kachoo Visit James

KooKoo and Kachoo are James' preschool class mascots. They get to go home every week with another friend. They are kangaroos and James was sooo excited for them to come visit us!
They rode on a big John Deere sprayer...

Got to honk the horn on a big truck...

Eat a sweet potato for a snack...

and have a visit to the sweet potato warehouse. James was really upset when we had to take KooKoo and Kachoo back to school. Hopefully they will be able to come visit again! I loved watching James take care of them for the week!

Adam and Brittany's Wedding

James was in Gray's cousin Adam's wedding last weekend. There were so many good pictures so sorry for the picture overload....
Ring Bearer James and Flower Girl Ella Gray

James and Mommy before the wedding.

James got a little bored during the ceremony...

He walked in and out just like he was supposed to. We were so proud!

We missed Miller but she was in good hands at Nette and Granddaddy's in Smithfield.

James with his older cousins Charles Jr. and Ben. He loves hanging out with them!

Wedding Party
James danced for hours. He loved being out there on the dance floor and was quite a little show off.

The beautiful couple.. it was such a pretty wedding!

Fair with Friends

Last week we we went to the fair with my friend Amanda, her twins Ella Carsyn and Aulden, and baby brother Holton. James was too excited about the fair he couldn't take a nap. He was asleep as soon as we pulled out of the driveway to head to the fair. Everyone had a great time. The Pitt County fair was VERY clean and we didn't have to wait for any of the rides. It was so fun to see James ride the rides. This is the first year that he hasn't been scared of them. He has been asking to go back everyday.

James and Aulden thought this was a ride. They were actually the fair grounds lawnmowers parked under a shed. When James sees anything John Deere he has to test it out.

Miller and Holton hanging out with the big kids!

Miller was a trooper. I didn't hear a peep out of her the whole time we were there. She was awake until the very end.

We probably went on this slide 10 times. All of the kids loved it!!!

The motorcycle ride was the highlight of the fair trip. I think he thought this was real!
