The HAIRCUT

I took James for a "trim" and this is what happened.....

Note to self... Never go to sport clips again. The week James started school we went for a haircut. The place we usually go only had afternoon appts for the whole week so I decided to take him to a walk in place. Miller was screaming while all of this was going on... I told the lady to keep the front long, just clean it up and make the back a little shorter. She instantly took the clippers to his bangs and this is what we got!

Lots and Lots of Hair

It is FINALLY growing back and James thinks he has a really cool haircut!!

James' first Day of 3 yr old Preschool

James started 3 year old Preschool on Sept 1st. He is going 3 days a week from 9-12. We have seen no tears and he is so excited about school and playing with his friends. This year they have music and big church!

Miller 4 Months

Miller is NOT a fan of rice cereal. James never ate it either. I'm going to try oatmeal soon!

Sweet litte girl!

Miller is such a happy baby! I can't believe she is already 4 months old!

James' Surgery

My sweet little boy had his tonsils and adenoids taken out on August 11th. He had been snoring really loud and had a lot of restless sleep so the doctor thought that it would be best to have them removed. He also showed signs of toddler sleep apnea. The surgery went well and the doctor said that his tonsils were 3 times the size they should be for a child his age so I am so glad we decided on the surgery. The recovery has been horrible but after 3 weeks James is FINALLY back to himself. I really can't imagine the pain he went through but hopefully it will be worth all of the pain in the long run.

Church Day

I went to church last Sunday with both kids alone for the first time. Gray was working so i figured I better get used to going to church alone in the summertime. These pictures were taken about an hour before it was time to leave... after the photos James decided he had on a "bad outfit". His clothes were changed 3 times. He just didn't understand why he couldn't wear his Cars pajamas. Once we arrived to church James didn't want to go to the nursery and Miller was wide awake ( all morning I had timed her feedings so she would be asleep). We all survived and both kids were very well behaved. James stood up to sing and made up his own words to the hymns. He clapped when everyone was done singing. He bowed his head to pray and he really made me proud!

Catch Up! End of July

James went to the spraypark in Rocky Mount with a friend's playgroup. He had so much fun. If you're local I highly reccomend it for children of all ages. There is a mini steam train, mini roller coaster, and carousel along with the spray park. Everything is only $1.00.

Miller is finally chunking up a little. She is still very petite and is just getting into her 3 month clothes but she has some rolls. She also loves to drool and blow bubbles.

James is still enjoying the pool and loves the diving board. Its been really hard for us to go b/c its been so hot. Miller gets really irriable when she's out in the hot weather for too long. Hopefully it will cool down a little and we can have some more pool days soon!

Swimming Lessons

James took a 2 week swimming class at Raynez swim school in Greenville. He has always been a fearless child and on the first day he jumped into the pool without a float on. The first week of class was bad. He didn't want to be there and it broke my heart to leave him crying everyday. I think for the first time in his life he was really scared of something. I was really hesitant to take him the second week, but knew if I didn't things wouldn't get better. He totally surprised me and was back to his old self and participated in class and really learned a lot.
So glad his friends Aulden and Ella Carsyn were in his class. I think it helped to have a familiar face.
They had so much fun together! He mastered kicking on the kickboard
and swimming to his teachers.

We will definitley take again next year!

James' Birthday Party

James' party was on July 10th at Jumpin' Parties in Greenville. I think the party went really well and James had a blast. He sang Happy Birthday to himself for the next couple of days. A lot of his friends from preschool came and he was really excited to have all of his friends celebrate his Birthday with him.

Aunt Katie made this adorable dump truck shirt for James to wear to his "construction themed" party.

The adults had a lot of fun! Aunt LeeAnna went down the big slide.

Granddaddy could have played this pinball machine the entire time!

Uncle Kevin also enjoyed playing games.

James and Ella Gray having a blast together as usual!

Jumpin' Parties was a great place to have a party. They do everything for you. Provide table decorations, balloons, party supplies, cut the cake, etc... It was a very relaxing party for Gray and I. I highly reccomend it and I'm sure we will have another Birthday party there in the future!

Miller was an angel the whole time... she slept until the last 5 min of the party. She got to hang out with her friend Holton.

James is Three

James had a Great 3rd Birthday! His actual Birthday is July 3rd but his party is going to be on the 10th. We had breakfast at Cracker Barrell, then went to the jump place. Nette and Granddaddy came to visit and then Nan Nan and Pop Pop had dinner with us. I couldn't have asked for a better day! This is what happens when he see's a John Deere box!

Cute Cake

He kept saying John Deere #1

James loves being a Big Brother. I hope him and Miller will share many more Birthday's together.
