10 on Tuesday

1. James is in his crib right now with a house plan book. He is supposed to be sleeping but all I can hear is "Biggggg". He loves looking at this book. Maybe he will be an architect one day??? The smallest things make him happy now days. That makes me happy too! I am debating taking the book away so he will take his nap.

2. Gray's parents are having a Christmas party/ engagement party for his brother Lewis and his fiance' Jena. We are taking James and I am excited to see him when the DJ starts playing music. He has really developed some savvy dance moves in the past few weeks. Hopefully I will get a good video to post on here for next week.

3. Christmas is now 17 days away!!!

4. I feel like all of the children around here have colds. It just must be the time of year. Today when I took James to school I saw so many snotty noses. It really grossed me out. Hopefully James won't catch anything from these kids. I wish there could be a snotty nose rule at school.

5. James said "green" today. He can point to his colors but he still doesn't say them all. Now he says blue, green, yellow, purple, and pink. I am working so hard on red.

6. James thinks red is "STOP" like a stop sign. If you ask him what color something is that is red. He replies "S T O P".

7. It has rained every three days or so for the past two weeks. Gray still has a ton of beans in the field that need to be picked. We have a 90% chance today, 60% chance tomorrow, and 50% for Saturday and Sunday. I really pray for no rain. He was picking beans last year on Christmas Eve.

8. I bought 80 Christmas cards last year on sale and have ran out. It is hard to believe how many people you know when you start sending Christmas cards. I guess I will have to go to Target and get some more. Next year I think I am going to go the simple route and order online from Shutterfly.

9. I get excited to go to the post office this time of year too. I love getting Christmas Cards in the mail!

10. James is still talking so I better go and take the book away!

10 on Tuesday

1. IT'S A GIRL!!! I am so excited and can't wait to buy pink. I am up for any suggestions for websites for cute girl bedding. I have looked at all of the basics and can't find anything I like.

2. James still isn't too excited about having a new baby yet. I'm not sure if he really understands. All he says is "No....ME"

3. It has rained off and on here for the past 2 weeks. It has been great having Gray and home with us more. It has been two weeks though and my maternity clothes and my Christmas decorations are still in the attic.

4. How many of my boy clothes do I need to save. James has sooo much. I think 5 huge tupperware containers. We may still have another baby but we definitley don't have room to store all of the clothes. I may save my favorites and his boutique stuff as well as the basics and sell the rest to friends and on e-bay.

5. I am really excited about Thanksgiving this year. My parents are usually in Florida with my mom's family. This is the first Thanksgiving in 3 years that they will be in Smithfield so we are spending our Thanksgiving there.

6. I am thankful this year for a healthy baby girl and little boy!!!

7. This year I am really excited about Christmas. I can't wait to see James' expression on Christmas morning when he see's all of his presents. I think that Christmas is more fun once you've had kids.

8. I want to get a needy child some Christmas presents this year. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good place to adopt/find one.

9. James' Pop Pop/ Gray's dad, put James down for his nap today with his big light on, lamp, and all of the blinds open. I can't believe he went to sleep. Gray and I had a laugh though.

10. I still need to get James a few things for Christmas...any suggestions for a 2.5 year old.

10 on Tuesday

* I am going to start a new addition to my blog..." 10 on Tuesday". 10 Random thoughts on Tuesdays. I've got to start blogging more so I hope this helps.

1. Next Tuesday we find out if baby #2 will be a boy or girl. I can't wait to find out.

2. James has really started putting words together. I'm so glad I can finally understand what he wants and needs.

3. I have had a headache for 2 weeks. HELP!

4. Today I bought 7 Christmas presents! It feels great to have that done. What do I get Gray this year???

5. Does anyone have suggestions for double strollers. I want a really good one.

6. We only have one free weekend from now until Christmas. I'm sure something will come up that weekend too.

7. Never buy LED white lights for your Christmas tree. We made that mistake last year and our tree was blue...like BMW headlights. We have to buy all new lights this year. I wonder if the old ones would sell on e-bay.

8. Luci and Marshall's wedding was so much fun this weekend. I have learned that I am way too old to stay up until 3:30 am. Pregnant or not....I can't do it anymore. Three days later I haven't caught up on my sleep.

9. There is only one "Newman" on the Young and the Restless right now. What is happening to this show?

10. This has been pretty fun... I might just look forward to doing this every week!

NC State Fair

Gray and I took James to the fair on Sunday. I LOVE the fair and want to go every year. Gray isn't really a fair guy but he toughed it out and went with us. James had a great time and said "WOW" about a million times. He loved the food and people watching but was unsure of the rides. He was fine once he got on them but was really hesitant getting on them. He ate his first corn dog and also had some chicken pita, cotton candy, an icee, and lots of smarties. With all of that sugar in his little body, he didn't take a nap that day. I hope we can go next year!

School Pictures

I can't believe he actually "posed" for these pictures. They would have turned out completely different if I would have been there.

Marbles Kids Museum

Last Wednesday I took James to Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh. We stayed for 2 hours and James was worn out. I can't believe that I hadn't taken him before now. I highly reccomend going if you have small children. Lots to do and it is really clean. We will be back very soon!

Luci's Bachelorette Weekend

I promise I haven't forgotten about my blog. I got a new computer last month and this is the first time I have had the chance to play around with the picture program. I finally figured it out so there will be lots of pictures and blog updates in the near future.

One of my best friend's Luci is getting married on November 14th. We celebrated her bachelorette weekend in Wrightsville Beach the weekend of Septemeber 24th. I had such a good time with great friends! I really wish we could see eachother more!
