Miller was born on Thursday morning which also happened to be mine and Gray's 4 year wedding anniversary. I went to the hospital Wednesday night around 9:40 and I was having contractions but nothing regular at all. I was 4cm dilated and 80% effaced. We power walked the halls of the hospital for an hour and I had progressed to 4-5 and 100% effaced. I was admitted around 11:30 and was told to get some sleep because I was still in pre-labor. I was in no pain and pretty comfortable. Around 7:30 nothing had changed and they decided to break my water. As soon as that happend the contractions came and labor began. I had an epidural but it didn't work completley. It didn't work with James either.. I was told I have a crooked spot in my spine right in the epidural place. It helped the pain a little but I could still feel my contractions. I was in labor for 2hrs and 45 min and pushed for 2 min. She was born at 10:02 and it was the fastest, easiest labor imaginable.. even without a full epidural or pain medication. What a great anniversary present!
Dr. Harris delivered. She is one of my favorite doctors in the practice.
