Gray's friend Josey made James this chair when he was born. James has finally figured out how to get in it. It takes a while...but he is really proud of himself. Can't you tell!!!

Beach Trip #2

We're back! We had a great time at Emerald Isle with Nan Nan and Aunt Ashley!!! James remembered where he was and squealed and giggled when we got near the water. He would run right in the ocean if I would let him. The boys worked all week and never made it to the beach because it didn't rain. We sure did miss them!

TEETHING

James now has 6 teeth (3 on the top and 3 on the bottom). He is eating away at his crib daily! We have been through a lot with this crib already. First, at 5 months old he learned how to pull and break the strings on his nice expensive bumper pad so we had to buy a cheap one at Babies- R -Us. Secondly, the crib is a pain to lower!!! We thought it would be such a great idea to get a convertable crib so it will grow with him but it has not been worth the money. It literally took Gray and I over 2 hours to lower it the first time and that included basically taking the whole thing apart and putting in back together. (We now have it as low as it will go). And now the teeth marks....Wish us luck with whatever happens next.

BEACH TRIP

We had a great time at the beach. It was great to get away but it was definitley a lot of work! James loved the ocean but liked the pool better. He was interested in everyone but us on the beach and didn't want to sit and play. We were constantly chasing after him. He slept great the whole time and we had to wake him up in the mornings. He also took two 2 hour naps a day so that gave Gray and I time alone at the beach or at the pool. Another major acomplishment....we mastered the sippy cup! Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Tomorrow we're headed to the beach for 3 nights. I can't wait to see James' reaction to the ocean and the sand. I promise to post a lot of pictures when we get back! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

May Birthdays

HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY ASHLEY AND KEVIN!!! Kevin turned 24 on May 27th. James was a big help with opening presents. Ashley turned 18 on May 30th. We had a good time at both of their parties!!!
